Two arrested in connection with attack on Northwest Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police arrested a man and a woman allegedly in connection with an attack Friday afternoon in Northwest Columbia, according to a department news release.

Friday around 2:30 p.m., Columbia Police responded to an assault in the 2800 block of Primrose Dr. When officers arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and remains there Saturday morning.

Around 7:30 p.m., Columbia Police arrested Alexander Aklan, 28, of Columbia on charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, first-degree human trafficking and unlawful use of a weapon. Felicia Hay, 33, of Columbia was arrested for first-degree assault.

According to police, the two were arrested during a traffic stop.
