Man, 33, charged with murder in fatal downtown stabbing

A man is charged with murder Thursday after a stabbing at a downtown apartment.

Toronto police said responded to a call for a stabbing on Fort York Boulevard. and Dan Leckie Way area, near Bathurst St. and Lake Shore Blvd. W., around 12.45 p.m

Police suspect that two men got into an argument in an apartment and stabbed each other.

Medics performed life-saving measures on both men and they were taken to hospital, police said.

Unfortunately, one man died in hospital from his injuries. The other man is still in hospital.

Police identified the victim as Sean Collins, 34, of Toronto.

Brian Kelneric, 33, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.

Police said the suspect appeared in court remotely at the Toronto Regional Bail Center on Friday.
