Attackers fire 16 bullets at the gas pump, wounding 1

Assailants on bikes reportedly opened fire at a petrol pump in Gokulpuri on Friday, injuring one person. The incident took place at Mukul Diesel petrol pump around 10.38 pm.

DCP (Northeast) Rakesh Paweriya said the injured, identified as Ansul Rathi, a supervisor at the petrol pump for six years, sustained shrapnel injuries in his abdomen. Rathi was immediately rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

According to the complainant, four people arrived on two motorcycles. One of the pillion passengers fired sixteen bullets into the office cabin. The attackers fled in different directions: one motorcycle headed towards Gokulpuri, while the other headed towards Loni Gol Chakkar. Petrol pump owner Harish Chaudhary said an old rivalry could be the motive behind the incident.
