“We are already in the process of reviewing OMR forms so that the written exam result can be released by the third week of November for the second round of the recruitment process, details of which will be shared on the board website,” said UPRPB Chairman Rajeev Krishna.

The Constable written examination for 60,244 vacancies took place on 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 August 2024. Of the total number of vacancies, 20 percent are reserved for women. The total number of vacancies for female candidates is 12,049 and the number of male vacancies is 48,195.

The final answer key was released on October 30 and the appeal window was open until November 9.

A total of 70 objections to the preliminary answer key were found correct. Of these, there were 29 cases where the questions had more than one correct answer. For these questions, the board will award a full mark to those who have checked one of the correct options. As many as 25 questions were found wrong and the correct options for 16 questions were changed after reviewing the candidates’ objections.

A total of 48,17,441 candidates (including 15 lakh women candidates) registered for the test, and 34.6 lakh appeared for the written test.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Details about these rounds will be shared later.
