Man dies days after being involved in Midlands crash as gardaí make a major appeal

A man involved in an accident in the Midlands last Thursday has sadly died in hospital, gardaí have confirmed.

Gardaí in Tullamore continue to investigate the single-vehicle collision, involving a car, on the L2007 (Rahan Road) at Ballykeenaghan, which occurred at approximately 9am on Thursday, November 14.

The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, seriously injured in the collision, was pronounced deceased at Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore last night.

The local coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

“All road users who may have CCTV footage (including dashcam) and were in the area between 8.15am and 9.15am are asked to make this footage available for investigation by gardaí,” they appealed.
