Charli Saturday evening live opening monologue.

“So many people have asked me what bullshit is, and honestly it’s like an attitude, it’s an atmosphere,” said Martha, who falsely claimed that a journalist – who covered the singer’s legal proceedings – was dead.

Charlie said jokingly. “For example, the new Martha Stewart documentary, when Martha gets angry about an old magazine article and says she’s glad the journalist who wrote it is dead – that’s nonsense.”

“And last Friday, when that exact journalist responded and said, ‘Hey, I’m still alive’ – that’s an extraordinary brat,” the 32-year-old said.

During the show, Charlie also shared that there is no problem if SNL viewers don’t recognize her album, Brat.

“Don’t worry if you don’t, there’s nothing wrong with being straight,” the singer joked in the show’s opening monologue on November 16.

Reflecting on her “crazy experience” on “Brat Summer,” Charli shared, “When Martha gets mad about an old magazine article and says she’s glad the journalist who wrote it is dead, that’s bullshit.”

Martha said earlier in the documentary that there was a “lady” at the New York Post wrote ‘terrible things’ about her during her trial.

“But thank God she’s dead now. And no one has to put up with the nonsense she was writing all the time,” Martha says of the writer, whom she did not name in the documentary.

Meanwhile, Andrea Peyser later identified herself as the journalist in question and began a column for the Post with the phrase, “I’m still alive, bitch!”

“That’s extremely annoying,” Charli added.
