Why Taylor Swift and the Kelce Clan ‘didn’t enjoy’ last season’s trip to Buffalo to watch Chiefs-Bills

The Chiefs may have had the last laugh at the Bills in their last matchup, but Taylor Swift and the Kelce family were reportedly “shocked” by the negative reception they received during last year’s divisional round clash in Buffalo.

Kansas City earned a 27-24 victory in the playoff game, with Jason Kelce seen shirtless and drinking a beer while celebrating a touchdown from his brother Travis’ squad.

But according to Adam Lefkoe of Turner Sports, Travis’ friends and family at the game didn’t enjoy their road trip to Highmark Stadium.

“I’ve heard from people close to me that it wasn’t a great experience in Buffalo,” he told Kay Adams about her ‘Up and Adams’ show. ‘It wasn’t that. For all parties involved… And I’m talking about the most famous of all parties,” he continued, with a not-so-subtle nod to Swift.

“I think it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone associated with the Kelce family a little bit with the reception they got. I think they said, ‘This is going to be a great game with a lot of energy.’ And they got there and they experienced Bill’s Mafia in full form, in (its (full) ruthlessness.’

“And I think they left saying, ‘I don’t know if I want to go through that again.’ It was that kind of weirdness.”

Lefkoe, who covers the NBA for TNT and is a noted Eagles fan, added: “I think there are certain fan bases that do their job, which is that if you’re a visitor in their place, it’s their job to make you feel uncomfortable. ‘

The images of Jason Kelce drinking a beer without a shirt on may have become the lasting images of that game, and Adams suggested that moment was proof that the Kelce clan was having a good time.

Lefkoe saw it differently.

“What that is is an unrestrained man being cursed and shouted at for hours, and who finally had to say, ‘What about those apples?'” he said.

Notably, Jason got to work with Bills fans prior to their Monday Night Football game with the Jets earlier this season.

According to CBS Sports, The expectation is that pop star Swift will be back in Buffalo for a highly anticipated clash between the 9-0 Chiefs and 8-2 Bills.

The “Fortnight” singer actually performed near Toronto this week, though a league source told CBS Sports that the scheduling was “completely unintentional.”

Nevertheless, Swift is hoping for a better experience this time when she attends.
