“I want to congratulate President-elect Trump. You all won fair and square,” Barkley said.

“We lost, and I just want to say this to the Democrats, of which I am an independent who voted Democratic. Do me this a favor: shut up. If you win you can say whatever you want, if you lose you have to keep your mouth shut,” Barkley added. “We lost because we didn’t have a game plan. We still haven’t solved the immigration problem; have no viable answers. Never tackled inflation.”

Barkley further suggested that he should lay all the blame for the loss on the president Joe Biden or vice president Kamala Harris was too shortsighted. He mocked the party’s strategy to gain celebrity support.
