Two children are seriously injured in an ATV accident involving a truck

BUTLER, Mo. (KCTV) – An eight- and nine-year-old boy was seriously injured in an ATV accident Sunday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. on November 17.

Two young boys were riding a 2002 Honda Rancher ATV on County Road 6002 when the 8-year-old driver entered the path of a 2004 Ford F250.

The ATV struck the truck, then left the side of the road and overturned. Both children were sent away.

MSHP reported that neither of the boys were wearing safety equipment and they suffered serious injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Children’s Hospital.
