6-year-old injured in Jackson shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A 6-year-old girl was injured during a shooting in Jackson.

According to a news release, officers responded to the incident in the 4200 block of Pyle Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities said two people on foot shot one person.

A 6-year-old girl was injured during the shooting. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jackson police say multiple shell casings were collected at the scene.

While no arrests have been made at this time, authorities tell WLBT 3 On Your Side they have possible persons of interest.
