Nick Cannon surprises with sincere confessions of Diddy Party

Gossip and entertainment news from the Newsweek contributor network

Nick Cannon was just 16 years old when he went to his first Sean “Diddy” Combs party.

The now 44 year old Wild and Out star’s jaw dropped when she revealed this surprising fact during the Friday, October 11 episode of The Breakfast Club podcast. After going over some news about the disgraced 54-year-old rapper — like his trial set for May 5, 2025 — the conversation turned to who had gone to a Diddy party.

Loren LoRosa admitted that she attended a few of Diddy’s parties in Los Angeles, while co-hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne swore to God they had never been to one. Cannon couldn’t believe the latter two had never been to a Bad Boy (Records) event, sharing, “I was even at one when I was a kid — like 16, 17.”

The admission shocked everyone else on the podcast, but Cannon only joked, “I live my truth.” He compared Diddy’s parties to late rapper The Notorious BIG’s “One More Chance” music video. “Bad Boy parties were official in New York in the late 90s,” he added, as the rest of the podcast erupted in laughter.

“Everyone is scared to talk because they probably have something to hide,” Cannon said, apparently referring to people who want to distance themselves from Diddy now. “I have nothing to hide. I was there at Harlem Shaking,” he added.

LoRosa signed off on Cannon’s statement that she hadn’t seen anything damning, adding, “I’ve been to a few (parties), but I’ve never been to the crazy stuff. nothing to hide.”

“I think it’s unfair that we classify a good party as an ‘outbreak,’” Cannon said, as the co-hosts joked about partygoers drinking “that CÎROC brown dot.” The “freak” parties mentioned refer to a section of Diddy’s 14-page indictment, which details events in which the rapper allegedly “used force” to “cause victims to engage in prolonged sexual acts with workers at the male sex commercials that Combs organized, directed, masturbated during and often recorded electronically.”

The father of 12 shocked podcasters again when he revealed he “was sober at a Diddy party.” Despite his disbelief, Cannon said, “That’s it. I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs… I’m sober. I’ve never been drunk in my life.” Cannon, who is longtime friends with Diddy (whom he still calls “Puff”), is famous for having a large brood.

The radio and TV personality shares Moroccan and Monroe, 13, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, 7, Rise Messiah, 1, and Powerful Queen, 3, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, 3, and Beautiful Zeppelin, 1, with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary Love, 2, with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice, 2, with LaNisha Cole, and daughter Halo Marie, 1, with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott also shared son Zen, who sadly passed away at just five months old in December 2021 due to brain cancer.

Cannon’s shocking confession comes after Diddy was arrested in Manhattan on September 16, 2024, after being indicted and accused of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy remains in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail multiple times.

Combs pleaded not guilty to federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges following his arrest at the Park Hyatt New York hotel. In his $50 million bail proposal — signed by Combs, his mother and several family members — were conditions that he be released to house arrest with GPS monitoring to ensure he was not a flight risk, and he agreed to perform weekly toxicology tests and maintain a visitation log to be sent nightly to pretrial services. He also would not have access to a cell phone or internet.

Perhaps another reason Cannon’s age confession was so shocking is because people are reeling after attorney Tony Buzbee’s announcement that 120 more of Diddy’s alleged victims would come forward, the youngest of whom is just 9 years old. age. Since the news broke, many eyes have turned to Diddy’s former protégés, such as Usher and Justin Bieber.
