A Harry Potter actor was sadly murdered before he had the chance to see himself star in the iconic film series.

A lot of Potterheads feel particularly nostalgic about the loved one film franchise, with many looking back on the films and real life actorswho brought JK Rowling’s series books to life.

Unfortunately, however, there was one Harry Potter actor who died tragically before he even got the chance to see himself star in the movie after a horrific event attack took his own life.

Described as a ‘typical teenager with a great sense of humor’, Rob Knox has already starred in, among others ITV police drama The bill, Channel 4s reality show Trust me, I’m a teenager and the BBC comedy After you’re gone.

However, the film industry was extremely shocked in 2008 when the film industry… Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince actor was killed while trying to protect his younger brother.

In news that shocked colleagues and co-stars alike at the time, it was reported that the 18-year-old – who had played student Marcus Belby in the franchise’s sixth film – had enjoyed a night out in Sidcup, Londonwhen a bar fight escalated fatally.

After another group of drinkers began antagonizing his 17-year-old brother, Rob stepped in to intervene but was stabbed to death by 22-year-old Karl Bishop.

As a result, Bishop was subsequently found guilty of the promising young actor’s murder and given a life sentence with a minimum sentence of twenty years before any parole.

“I don’t think it has been proven that you intended to kill Robert Knox,” Judge Bean said at the time.

“The truth is, you just didn’t care whether you killed him or not. Your lack of remorse, let alone remorse, was truly chilling.”

Rob’s mother, Mrs Knox, said in a statement read out to the court at the time: “As a mother and parent, I cannot condemn the person responsible for taking my son Robert’s life, or the devastation caused by these actions , never forgive. “

She added: “His life was stolen, taken without permission.

“He was taken in the most cruel way.”

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, what was said to be Knox’s breakout role was later released posthumously in 2009.

The premiere took place in July, just a matter of months after Bishop was sentenced to life in prison.

After his death, ITV has commissioned a documentary titled (K)Nox: The Rob Knox Story in 2021, which follows what happened leading up to the tragic event, and how the family dealt with their grief and anger while in the spotlight.
