Telus also offered Koodo customers a $50/120GB plan

Telus sent some Koodo customers special $50/120GB subscription offers as part of a larger push for Koodo customers to migrate last week.

Last week I wrote about an email I received from Telus offers me $60/120GB and $65/200GB plans. However, these were the only offers Telus made. A long time Mobile Syrup The reader reached out to let me know they received a $50/120GB offer from Telus the same day I did.

Like my offer, the $50/120GB plan was for bring your own phone (BYOP) or financing a device. Telus also offered them a Pixel 9 with $5.20 per month financing, a significantly worse deal than the company’s. ongoing $0 financing Pixel 9. As with the other offers, this one contains a special promotional code and is exclusive to the 10-digit number mentioned in the email.

While it’s not immediately clear why Telus didn’t offer me the $50/120GB plan as well, I think I have a pretty good idea. As I wrote last week, I currently have a $49/75GB 5G plan with Koodo (thanks recent price increases), so the $50/120GB plan is probably not enough of a monetary increase for Telus to offer it to me.

But the reader who shared the plan with me noted that they have a $29/60GB 4G plan, so Telus getting them up to $50 a month would be a win for the company. At least that’s my theory.

Either way, the $50/120GB plan is a lot better than Telus’ current plans, which I just wrote about here. The closest current plan is Telus’ $60/100GB plan, which is both more expensive and includes less data than the $50/120GB offering.

Either way, all Koodo customers will want to keep an eye on their emails for even more special offers like this, as you could get a good deal depending on which offer you get and what subscription you currently have.
