At a press conference on Saturday, he stated that, if elected, he would prioritize public safety, better schools, creating more jobs and rebuilding the city’s infrastructure.

“I pledge to be transparent, accountable and dedicated to serving you. I will work tirelessly to ensure our needs are heard and met. Together, we can make Jackson better. The change is now!” ShamsidDeen explained.

ShamsidDeen also added that he would work to ensure that police and firefighters receive pay increases to enable improved public safety across the capital.
