Oak Creek childcare worker placed on probation; cocaine found in the boy’s system

A Oak Creek childcare employee will be charged afterwards Cocaine was found in the system of a 1-year-old boy reached a plea deal in May.

Prosecutors have charged 24-year-old Passion Watson with “possession of cocaine in or near certain places.” The boy went to the daycare where Watson worked.

After finding nothing indicative of drug exposure in the child’s home, detectives searched KinderCare. Prosecutors said a K-9 found cocaine in Watson’s backpack, which was in an unlocked closet and unzipped it with a toddler’s jacket on top.

Online court records show that Watson pleaded guilty to the only charge against her on Monday, November 18. The judge hearing the case subsequently suspended her sentence – and placed Watson on probation for 12 months.

As part of her sentence, Watson must have no contact with daycare, complete 100 hours of community service (not at a youth center), and cannot possess or use any controlled substance without a valid prescription.
