Three were injured in a car crash in Boone County, one seriously injured

Three people were injured in a car accident on November 18, one of whom was seriously injured.

Records show a 2020 Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound on Route Y near Clinkenbeard Road on Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that at 10:08 p.m., the Ford went off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and then returned to the road before overturning on the left side.

Troopers stated the vehicle was blocking the eastbound lane when it came to a stop.

The 35-year-old female driver from California, Mo., was moderately injured in the crash, and a 12-year-old female passenger, also from California, Mo., suffered minor injuries.

Records showed a 56-year-old male passenger was also seriously injured in the crash. All involved were transported to University Hospital for treatment.

MSHP noted that the child was wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred, but the adults were not.
