UFC 310: Dana White announces card headlined by Belal Muhammad x Shavkat Rakhmonov, Nick Diaz returns to the octagon

UFC president Dana White revealed the main fights for UFC 310, the last major card of 2024, with Belal Muhammad defending his UFC welterweight title against undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov in the main event.
White took to social media on Saturday to confirm the main fight for the highly anticipated card, which is set for December 7 in Las Vegas, live on TNT Sports and Discovery+.

The duo will headline a night of mouth-watering fights that includes Nick Diaz’s return to the Octagon against Vicente Luque.

Alexandre Pantoja will put his flyweight title on the line against newcomer Kai Asakura, who only signed for the UFC in June of this year and will enter a five-round title fight in his UFC debut.

A crucial heavyweight clash between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov will also take place.

Welterweight champion Muhammad is currently on a five-year unbeaten streak, winning 10 fights and earning a no contest against Leon Edwards in 2021.

The clash with Rakhmonov will be the first defense of the title. The 29-year-old Kazakh is undefeated and has finished all six of his UFC opponents, five by submission.

Asakura will fight for the title in his debut, having finished his last two fights.

Previously announced fights on the card include a featherweight clash between Movsar Evloev and former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, as well as a light heavyweight bout between veterans Anthony Smith and Dominick Reyes.
