Campus Safety Announces Student Report of Sexual Assault in Bellarmine Hall

A Bellarmine Hall student reported a sexual assault by a Loyola guest in Bellarmine Hall on Nov. 17. Campus safety announced reporting to the Loyola community on November 18 at 6:20 p.m

Christian Anderson, assistant vice president of communications and director of executive communications, said the alleged perpetrator has been identified.

“As stated in a Campus Alert, a student reported to the Dean of Students office that they had been sexually assaulted by a non-Loyola affiliated guest in Bellarmine Hall on November 17,” Anderson wrote in an email to The Phoenix. “The suspected perpetrator has been identified and there is no ongoing threat to security.”

The incident was not reported to the Chicago Police Department, according to a CPD spokesperson.
