An investigation into a fatal hit-and-run is underway in Temple Hills

TEMPLE HILLS, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a collision involving a pedestrian that resulted in death Saturday evening. The investigation aims to identify the victim, an adult woman, and inform her family.

Police were called to the scene on the 4400 block of Saint Barnabas Road on Saturday at 8:50 p.m. They discovered the victim, who had suffered trauma, on the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver who struck the victim was traveling northbound on Saint Barnabas Road near Leisure Drive. The driver did not remain at the scene after the incident.
