Zach Bryan is getting some criticism from Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia fans about the way he publicly announced his split from the 25-year-old influencer.

On Tuesday, hours after Bryan said on his Instagram Story that they had broken up, LaPaglia took to her YouTube page to say that she had just woken up to his message and “had no idea” that he was planning their divorce to make public.

“He didn’t text me, he didn’t call me,” LaPaglia said through tears in the video. “So I’m completely blindsided by that.”

While Bryan’s fans mostly supported him on his social media, he faced backlash from LaPaglia’s followers, who called his post “dishonest” and “betrayal.”

“You are beautiful and that is so unfair,” one viewer wrote in the comments of her video. ‘He really created quite a pattern. I’m so sorry you were hurt like this. You are stronger than you should be. I send love.”

Another person wrote: ‘You gave him the chance to prove he could be loyal and good when in his previous relationships he showed he wasn’t. I completely feel your pain, you saw the best in him and everyone could tell you honestly. loved him. You’ll get through it.”

“His demons are his own demons,” said a third.

Last September, the “I Remember Everything” singer arrested for obstruction of investigation after saying he got “too lippy” with a police officer.

Bryan explained that he had driven through Oklahoma to Boston to go to a concert with his security guard in another car.

After his security guard was stopped by an officer behind him, he said he turned around and pulled up next to them, eventually getting out of his car to smoke after waiting several minutes.

When the officer told him to get back in his car, he said, “I’m not the one being pulled over.”

He was again told to get back in his car and warned that if he didn’t he would be taken to jail.

“Like a dumba, I’m like, ‘You’re going to take me to jail? What do you mean?'” he continued.

After calling his behavior “ridiculous and immature” and saying he “felt like a child,” he said, “I pray that everyone knows that I don’t think I above the law, I was just being disrespectful and I shouldn’t have been, and it was my fault.”

“So I just get angrier and angrier, which is the worst thing you can do. So 15 minutes go by and they finally let me out of the car, and I’m just talking like an idiot, like I’m like, ‘Man , someone has to get you, why are you using your authority this way, this is so wrong’, when in reality they were doing their job, I was just upset.”

“I love Taylor’s music and pray you know I’m human and often tweet stupid things.”

Bryan continued, “He looks at me and says, ‘Man, look, I’m going to tell you this and don’t interrupt me,'” and then admitted that he did interrupt.

“So he said, ‘I’m going to take you to jail,’ and he took me to jail.”
