Haryana air pollution: Physical classes in higher education institutions suspended till November 23

GURGAON: After suspending physical classes in schools, the government has now suspended physical classes at higher educational institutions in Haryana NCR districts – Gurgaon, Faridabad and Sonipat.
The Joint Director Coordination Director Higher Education issued a directive on Wednesday to suspend physical classes at all educational institutions.

“All higher educational institutions of Haryana State in the districts – Gurgaon, Faridabad and Sonipat – are hereby directed to ensure discontinuation of physical classes and shall shift to online classes till November 23,” the order read.

Contrary to Tuesday’s directive for suspending physical classes in schools, which stated that physical classes would remain suspended until further notice, physical classes in colleges and universities will remain suspended until November 23. According to the official, further decisions will be taken based on the prevailing situation and air quality index.
Meanwhile, the Gurgaon district administration on Wednesday issued another advisory on staggered timings at corporate offices.
The advisory, issued by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar on Tuesday, referred to the GRAP IV notification of the Air Quality Management Commission, which stated that governments in NCR districts can take recourse to permitting public, municipal and private offices at age 50. % strength, the rest work from home.
