Donations contribute to programs offered at the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – The Kelly Center for Hunger Relief offers El Pasoans a helping hand in times of need. Programs like the food pantry and community cupboard remind people that a helping hand is never too far away.

El Paso residents can visit the food pantry Tuesday through Saturday starting at 9 a.m., and the community pantry is open every first and third Tuesday of the month.

Brenda Estrada, Director of Community Engagement at the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief, says that because they are a non-profit organization, donations play an important role in the functioning of the organization.

“Anything you donate has an impact. and we help more because we have money to disperse and help others more, buying more computers, buying more food, buying more clothes”, said Estrada.

We’re just 5 days away from the Paso Del Norte Community Foundation’s giving day and this year the Marathon is matching donations, so your money goes further.

Visit Giving Day to donate now and tune in to ABC-7 at 10pm to discover more ways to help a great cause.
