There will be showers on Sunday, while sunshine will return on Monday

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Clouds will remain in place for now with occasional hints of sunshine, but our pattern will become more spring-like over the next week. As we see some moisture hanging around, the potential for fog will remain, limiting visibility during our mornings.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Sunday will see a mix of sun and cloud at times as we wait for the arrival of the second front to clear things out. A stray shower will not be ruled out with the best chance heading towards the mountains. Highs will remain close to average as we are back in the upper 60s with light breezes.

It will be humid enough for Monday morning with the remaining moisture that we will see limited visibility return with areas of dense fog. Make sure you take it easy as you head to work or school as our temperatures remain in the 40s to near 50s.

LOOKING FORWARD

The sun will continue to shine for most of the coming week as temperatures gradually rise each afternoon. Highs will return to the mid 70s before we keep an eye on our next front before the end of the week. We still have to keep an eye on the timing, but the greatest chance of some showers from now on is Thursday evening until Friday morning.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the system as it approaches and as always we’ll have the latest news in your WVLT First Alert 8-Day Planner.
