Sharjah announces new paid parking hours for 7-day zones – News

Sharjah announced new paid parking times for seven-day zones on Sunday, October 27. These zones are recognizable by blue parking information signs.

Under the revised timing, motorists in Sharjah will now pay for parking spaces from 8am to midnight from November 1. These 16-hour paid parking zones will be operational all week and on public holidays.

Sharjah offers more than 70,000 parking spaces spread across more than 50 parking locations in the city. This includes a mix of free and paid parking options throughout the city. Parking lots in the emirate are typically marked with blue and white curb markings, along with signage giving clear instructions on usage and costs.

In a statement, Sharjah City Municipality said it has extended paid parking hours in the ‘blue zones’, where surcharges apply, effective every day of the week, including public holidays. This measure aims to increase parking efficiency and improve the availability of space.
