Man faces multiple charges after shooting incident involving teenagers

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 33-year-old man is facing a host of charges, including malicious wounding, following a shooting incident in which two teenage boys were reportedly shot.

According to Kingston Eastern Police Division detectives, David Taylor, also known as ‘Pelpa’, a farm store operator on Rock Jam Road, Kingston 2 launched a gun attack on a man and two teenage boys on Monday, September 18.

It is claimed Taylor got out of a Honda Fit car and aimed fire at the trio.

The man and a 15-year-old were hit during the gunfire. The other teen, a 16-year-old, managed to escape unharmed. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

In addition to the battery charge, Taylor was also charged with shooting with intent, illegal possession of firearms and illegal possession of ammunition.

His trial date has not yet been finalized.
