Woman charged with theft at Hopewell Walmart

A Manchester woman is facing charges following a theft incident at Walmart on Ontario Street.

Molly R. Melito, 31, of the Roadway Inn in Manchester, was taken into custody by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office on November 23 at approximately 1:19 p.m. Officers arrived on scene after a report of theft at the store.

After an investigation, Melito was charged with petit larceny. She was released with a ticket and will appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date to hear the charges.
