The death of Liam Payne in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October is still under investigation. The singer reportedly died after sustaining injuries as a result of a fall from the third floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. It is said that Payne caused a stir at the time and as of a hotel guest who saw himhe caused unrest in the lobby. Based on what has been revealed, Payne later threatened to jump off the balcony before doing so, and now news reports claim the hotel was aware of these threats before the star’s death.

It was reported by TMZ that Liam Payne’s ultimate goal was to escape the hotel completely. Apparently his actions stemmed from a hatred of being cooped up in hotel rooms, as the “bedroom floor” singer is said to have experienced during his One Direction days. As for how the hotel allegedly knew about his threats to jump, the news channel pointed to a situation that occurred shortly before the singer’s death.

Recovered security footage from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel showed the 1D alum being escorted back to his room after his episode in the lobby. The video shows the conscious singer being carried to his room by three hotel employees. The trio are said to have taken Mr Payne back to his room after a struggle. According to TMZ, it’s clear that the “Strip That Down” writer told employees he was going to jump, because one of those employees later called 9-1-1 and expressed concern that the singer might try to jump off the balcony.

Shortly afterwards, Liam Payne – who was left alone by the staff – jumped up, and an autopsy subsequently revealed that he had taken crack cocaine, benzodiazepine and pink cocaine in his system. It is also mentioned that this was not the first time Payne attempted to use a balcony to leave a location. When Payne’s body was found, he had a bag on his shoulder and a hat was found nearby, seemingly lending credence to the idea that he was trying to leave the hotel.

It is also claimed that the fatal incident was not the first time that the Where we are – the concert film alum had previously attempted to leave a venue via the balcony. The young woman reportedly chose to leave her partner because his drug use made their journey dangerous. Cassidy reportedly compared the excursion to a “hostage situation.”

Whether the CasaSur Palermo Hotel will face any kind of backlash for the alleged circumstances that led to Liam Payne’s death remains to be seen. An insider claims that police in Argentina are trying to protect the hotel from legal action and are instead targeting the aforementioned people of interest. At this time, CasaSur Palermo has not commented on the matter.
