Man charged with bomb fraud after incident outside US embassy | British news

A man has been charged with a bomb attack following an incident outside the US embassy last week.

Police were called to the embassy in Nine Elms, South London, at 8.40am on Friday, November 22, to reports of a suspicious package.

Officers arrived on scene and a controlled explosion occurred.

Daniel Parmenter, 43, was arrested on Sunday after a search at his home address.

There are currently no links between this investigation and similar incidents involving reported suspicious packages in recent days.
