One seriously injured after an LPD officer was involved in a shooting in South Lubbock Saturday evening

One person was seriously injured in an officer-involved shooting in south Lubbock on Saturday evening.

According to LPD, officers were called to the 3500 block of 66th Drive around 7:45 p.m. after reports of a domestic disturbance involving a man and a woman.

Upon arrival, the officer was able to locate the persons and shots were fired shortly afterwards.

According to LPD, the woman was transported by ambulance to University Medical Center with serious injuries and was reported to be in stable condition as of 9:30 PM on Saturday.
