‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Part 2 Episode 11 Recap | New details and a shocking death

Season 5 Part 2 episode 11 of “Yellowstone” aired on Sunday, November 24, featuring a new development in John Dutton’s investigation and a shocking turn of events. Warning: This article contains spoilers.

Recap of Season 5, Part 2, Episode 11 of “Yellowstone”:

Episode 11 of Yellowstone opened with the moment John Dutton was murdered – with the ranch patriarch being dragged unconscious into the bathroom and making the moves to shoot himself. Both Kayce and Beth Dutton had the eerie feeling that something was wrong the moment the trigger was pulled.

The episode returned to the present, where Kayce was at the coroner’s office for a toxicology report. After asking the doctor to investigate it as a murder, she found enough evidence on John’s body that he was being held down and dragged. By the time Kayce left, the cause of death had been changed to undetermined and he was able to reopen the case. But he did not end his personal research there.

Kayce realized that the murder weapon was a gun from the livestock farm, and his security footage would reveal who took it. He gave the detective permission to access the images. Kayce then visited his brother Jamie. This was the first time the brothers spoke after John’s death.

Kayce threw Jamie over his desk and demanded he say if he played a role in their father’s death, but Jamie lied to his face and said he didn’t. Before Kayce left, he warned his adopted brother that he better tell the truth for the sake of both of them.

Later in the episode, a new governor of Montana named Steve was sworn in. Naturally, Steve’s priority is undoing John’s work to protect the Dutton Ranch and support Market Equities’ development plans.

Back at the ranch, Thomas Rainwater and Mo stopped by to pay their respects. Rainwater offered Beth his help, and the two discussed how to keep as much of the land together, untouched, as possible.

Before the episode ended, Jamie visited Sarah Atwood’s house to criticize the murder she planned. After an argument and a physical fight, Sarah left. A few minutes later Jamie called to apologize. As the two talked, a couple stopped by her car to ask for directions and if she was Sarah Atwood. Then the biggest shock of the episode happened. They shot her dead while Jamie listened to his loved one’s death on the other end of the line.

With only three episodes left, there’s no telling how the series will end, but fans are certainly on the edge of their seats waiting to find out.
