Five taken to hospital after truck and car crash near Wadebridge

Five people have been injured in a crash between a truck and a car near Wadebridge.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was reported on the A389 near St. Issey at 08:33 GMT.

The fire service said no one was trapped in the vehicles, but five people were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro “with broken bones but no life-threatening injuries”.

It said firefighters from Padstow and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the scene and while the air ambulance attended, the victims were taken to hospital by land ambulance.
