One killed, another seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle

ELMIRA (WBNG) – Elmira Police announced one person was killed and another seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle.

Elmira Police identified the deceased as Judith Morse, 80, of Horseheads, NY.

Police said officers responded to Clemens Center Parkway on Nov. 20 around 6 p.m. for a report of a crash involving the two pedestrians.

Morse and the second victim were found on the roadway. They were taken to hospital for treatment. Morse died on November 21.

The second victim remains in hospital in stable condition.

Police said the driver who allegedly struck the pedestrians remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with officers.

As of Tuesday morning, no charges have been filed in the investigation.
