Police investigate murder in south Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita police are investigating the death of a 53-year-old man who was found with fatal injuries Sunday afternoon.

WPD said officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of S. Hydraulic at 1:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a man’s body being found. Upon arrival, officers found Marvin C. Walldren, 53, of Wichita, slumped over with visible injuries.

EMS pronounced Walldren dead at the scene.

The Sedgwick County coroner performed an autopsy and ruled Walldren’s death a homicide.

WPD said the investigation into Walldren’s death is still ongoing.
