Loveland man accused of sexually assaulting a child – Loveland Reporter-Herald

Loveland police have arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of multiple counts of sexual assault of a child.

On Friday, officers executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of South Garfield Avenue regarding allegations of sexual abuse of a child and production of child sexual abuse material, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. The search warrant came after a minor came forward and reported that she had been sexually abused by Jeffrey George Weideman for years, the release said.

Weideman was ultimately arrested and booked into the Larimer County Jail on charges of sexual assault of a child as a pattern of abuse, a class 3 felony; sexual assault of a child under 15 from a position of trust, a class 3 misdemeanor; sexual exploitation of a child, a class 3 misdemeanor; promotion of obscenity to a minor, a class 6 misdemeanor; as well as two additional counts of sexual abuse, both Class 3 felonies.

He remains in custody at the Larimer County Jail on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before 8th Judicial District Judge Sarah Cure on December 3 at 8:30 a.m. in Fort Collins.

The department reported there may be additional victims and asked anyone with information to call the LPD tip line at 970-962-2032 or Larimer County Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868.
