A Worcester man allegedly filmed himself sexually abusing two minors

A Worcester man was charged Tuesday with sexually exploiting two underage girls and filming himself assaulting them, officials said.

Antonio Merced, 26, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. according to to the office of Acting United States Attorney Joshua Levy. Prosecutors allege he videotaped himself sexually assaulting two girls on July 13, 2024.

The 26-year-old was previously arrested in September 2024 and charged in Worcester District Court with two counts of aggravated rape of a child, three counts of distribution of obscene material to a minor, and one count of open and gross lewdness and lascivious conduct . conduct, dissemination of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), intimidation and enticement of a child under 16 years of age.

According to prosecutors, Merced is currently in state custody on these charges.

The federal charge he faces, sexual exploitation of a minor, could carry up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
