A Chicago man allegedly had multiple computer files containing child pornography

CHICAGO – A Chicago man has been charged with possessing child pornography, police said.

Jose Rodriguez, 56, faces a felony charge of possession of child pornography.

The charges stem from an incident on October 17 in which police say Rodriguez had several computer files containing child pornography in his possession.

Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday by members of the Chicago Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in conjunction with detectives from the Special Investigations Unit.

A detention hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
