The latest trailer for Squid Game season 2 shows off some familiar and fresh games, new faces and, you guessed it, lots of killing sprees

Netflix has taken another look at the upcoming second season of Squid gameand while some things look familiar, a lot of it also looks different.

We’re now almost exactly a month away from season 2 of Squid Game, and Netflix has released a new trailer that gives us a look at the games the show’s fictional participants can look forward to, for lack of a better phrase. Perhaps the most iconic game from the first season, the one with the creepy giant robot girl where you have to run while she’s not looking or you’ll be shot, is back in action, with protagonist Seong Gi-hun guiding the new players through ( or try anyway).

There have also been some changes, most notably some games where players seem to be split between an X and an O symbol. That certainly won’t be a commentary on how the rich pit the working class against each other! One game also seems to be a merry-go-round, but for the most part it seems like Gi-hun is trying to lead everyone into some sort of revolution to end the games.

Netflix describes the second season in one official summary: “Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) returns, locked in a tense battle with the shadowy Front Man (Lee Byung-hun). As new games unfold, the stakes become more deadly and Gi-hun’s mission to Will he succeed, or will the system claim even more victims?” Lee is, unsurprisingly, one of the few returning cast members with a whole lot of fresh meat for the grinder, including a bratty purple-haired boy, and a mother and son duo – that’s betting on whether they’ll end up getting justice. on opposite sides of the X and O teams?

You don’t have to wait long for season 2 now, as it’s scheduled to hit Netflix on December 26.
