Teen injured in alley shooting caught on camera near Capitol Hill





WASHINGTON, DC – A 15-year-old boy was shot Friday morning in an alley behind an apartment complex on East Capitol Street Southeast, prompting an urgent investigation as police released surveillance images of the suspects.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened around 9:42 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Capitol Street. After being struck, the teen ran to nearby Eastern High School for help and was later transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Detectives who viewed the scene identified surveillance cameras that captured images of the suspects and their vehicle. The footage, released to the public on Tuesday, shows individuals associated with the incident fleeing the area.
