Viewers react to Gregg Wallace tonight Master chef After announcing he was leaving the show.

The news of his departure earlier today (November 28) comes after 19 years of presenting alongside John Torode.

Production studio Banijay UK confirmed that Wallace would be leavingwho stated that they were conducting an external investigation with the BBC into allegations against him.

LADbible exclusively confirmed today that the BBC had declared all remaining Master chef episodes, which begin tonight, would release as normal.

Wallace himself has now spoken out following the news, as he thanked people who “showed him support” in an Instagram video.

He said: “I would like to thank all the people who have reached out, reached out and shown their support.

‘That’s good of you. Thank you very much.’

Now fans have reacted to tonight’s episode of the BBC cooking show which featured Wallace, with one writing: “Gregg Wallace quits Master chef “One of you will leave” without realizing it would be him.”

“Gregg Wallace @BBCOne just said (to the final four Master chef participants trying to reach the semi-finals) “today one of you will leave the competition”. Yes. You, Greg. See you soon,” wrote another.

The full statement of the BBC on Wallace’s departure reads: “We take all issues brought to us seriously and we have robust processes in place to address them.

“We have always been clear that behavior that does not meet the standards the BBC expects will not be tolerated.

“Where an individual is contracted directly by a third party manufacturing company, we will share any complaints or concerns with that company and will always support them in addressing them.”

The statement from Banijay UK read: “This week the BBC received complaints from individuals regarding historical allegations of misconduct while working with presenter Gregg Wallace on one of our shows.

“While these complainants have not raised the allegations directly with our show producers or parent company Banijay UK, we believe it is appropriate to immediately conduct an external review to conduct a full and impartial investigation.

“While this review is underway, Gregg Wallace will be stepping down from his role Master chef and is committed to providing full cooperation throughout the process.

“Banija Great Britain The duty of care to staff is always a priority and our expectations for behavior are made clear to both cast and crew on all productions, with multiple ways to raise concerns, including anonymously, clearly promoted on set.

“While these are historic allegations, incidents brought to our attention where these expectations are not met are thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately.”
