MLA Zeeshan Siddique, son of late NCP leader Baba Siddiqueis the party’s candidate from Bandra East constituency for the upcoming Maharashtra elections in November. Siddique, who was a Congress member, recently joined Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party, days after his father’s murder in Mumbai.

Zeeshan Siddique will contest the Maharashtra polls from Bandra East against Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Varun Sardesia, the nephew of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Siddique was expelled from the Congress for “anti-party activities” for allegedly voting against the party in the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections. However, the NCP leader denied this claim.

Soon after joining Ajit Pawar’s party, Zeeshan said, “It’s an emotional day for me and my family. I am grateful to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare for believing in me during these difficult times. I got the nomination from Bandra East, I am sure with the love and support of all people, I will definitely win Bandra East again.

Net Worth of Zeeshan Siddique: Declared Assets

According to the MyNeta portal, Zeeshan Siddique has a total net worth of 9 crores. According to the 2019 election declaration, Siddique has movable value 1.74 crore, including shares, bank deposits and so on 4 lakh cash.

The NCP leader’s immovable assets mainly include real estate and residential buildings, amounting to 7.24 million. The MyNeta portal also states that Zeeshan Siddique is in debt 76 lakhs.

These figures date back to his 2019 statement and have likely changed now.

Zeeshan Siddique’s father Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12 outside his son’s office in Bandra East. He breathed his last at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Shortly after his murder, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claimed responsibility for the attack.

Police investigations later revealed that Zeeshan was also on the radar of the gunmen, who were reportedly linked to the captured gangster. The suspects in custody, when interrogated, said they killed Siddique because he was “not a good man” and had close links with don Dawood Ibrahim.
