Brandon man charged with stalking and simple assault after being shot twice

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – A 30-year-old Brandon man has been charged after entering a home in east Sioux Falls.

Judah Petersen has been charged with simple assault, stalking and burglary.

According to Sgt. Travis Olsen, the incident occurred on November 27 around 8:15 p.m

Emergency responders were called to a home near S Capitol Ave and East Taylor Street.

Investigators determined that Petersen, who is not a resident of the address, went to the home and a disturbance occurred.

Petersen was ultimately shot twice and transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Petersen was subsequently charged.

Sergeant Olsen said additional details cannot be released at this time.

Further charges will be decided by the prosecutor’s office.
