Crash claims the life of a Winnsboro man, LSP says

FRANKLIN PARISH, La. (KNOE) – Louisiana State Police say a Winnsboro man died after a crash on Sunday.

Troopers say the single-vehicle crash occurred Oct. 27 on Louisiana Highway 562 near Drane Loop, killing 50-year-old Kevin Crain. LSP says the initial investigation revealed that a 1999 Infinity QX4 driven by Crain left the road and struck a tree. Troopers say Crain, who was not restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene. LSP is investigating what may have led to the crash.

Troopers urge all drivers to never get behind the wheel while impaired, fatigued or distracted. LSP says drivers must follow all road rules and ensure anyone traveling in a vehicle is properly restrained.
