Adityanath’s claim of fear-free UP hollow, says SP leader, dismisses Bhadohi’s shooting of director – ThePrint – PTIFeed

Bhadohi (UP), Oct 25 (PTI) There is no substance in UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s claim that there is no fear of criminals in the state, Samajwadi Party leader Lal Bihari Yadav said on Friday as he condemned the brutal murder of a headmaster.

Opposition Leader in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council Lal Bihari Yadav made the remarks in Bhadohi, where he had met the relatives of Yogendra Bahadur Singh, the principal of an inter-university, who was shot dead by unidentified bike attackers on Monday.

“State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s claim about a fearless society is hollow and his words hold no water. The Chief Minister says the state’s criminals are either outside the state or in jail. If so, why are these incidents not stopping,” Yadav told reporters.

He also accused the government officials of high-handedness and advised them not to forget that they are ‘government servants’. The 56-year-old principal of Indra Bahadur Singh National Inter College was shot dead around 10am in Amilori village, a few meters away from his home, said Superintendent of Police Meenakshi Katyayan.

He was only about 200 meters from his house when two people on a bicycle came and opened fire on his car after puncturing it.

They then approached the car, shot the director inside and drove away.

The victim was appointed as a teacher at the college in 1994 and was appointed principal on July 1, college manager Ashish Singh Baghel said earlier. PTI COR NAV VN VN
