“Yes, it’s scary. It’s terrifying. It is all those things, but it is also exactly right,” said the newsreader, 60, said on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” Friday.

However, the “Today” show host — who has worked on the morning news program for 26 years — said she has decided to “fall in love” with the idea of ​​new beginnings.

Kotb likened her new start to “repotting” a plant, where you are “pulled up by your roots, your foundation, everything that grounds you and your roots hang in the air.”

She even wonders where she will “land” before realizing that “life is largely about decision making.”

Kotb concluded, “When you love something, it’s hard to say goodbye to it because there’s no point, but there was something for me in recognizing a high point and saying at that high point, ‘I don’t feel like there is something’. an opportunity that would make this even better than it is now.”
