Driver seriously injured in New Madrid County crash

NEW MADRID, Mo. (KFVS) – A Sikeston man is seriously injured after a crash in New Madrid County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Reports, the crash occurred on Friday, October 25 at 4:00 PM. The driver was traveling north on County Road 405, 10 miles east of New Madrid.

The accident occurred when a 2006 Nissan Titan ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as 47-year-old James E. Stinett of Sikeston, was transported by Air EVAC to Regional One in Memphis, Tennessee to be treated for serious injuries.

According to the MSHP, it is unknown if he was wearing a safety device.
