Officers involved in shooting | News, sports, jobs

The city of Minot said a man was killed in a shooting at a Minot home Friday morning.

According to information provided by the city, Minot police officers were dispatched to a Minot residence in the southwest following a reported domestic disturbance. Minot Central Dispatch received a call with sounds of an argument between a man and a woman, and heard threats to use a firearm.

Officers arrived at the scene and two officers discharged their department-issued firearms. The man involved in the reported domestic disturbance was struck and pronounced dead at the scene.

The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave as per protocol and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation has taken over the investigation.
