Jeremy Clarkson ‘terrified’ after being told he could die from health fears | Celebrity News | Showbiz and TV

TV personality Jeremy Clarkson recently opened up about a health crisis that prompted doctors to warn his life may be in danger.

The former Top Gear presenter spoke about his experiences in his Sunday Times column, telling how he was rushed into surgery after experiencing some of the alarming symptoms of a heart attack.

Jeremy revealed his ordeal started while he was on holiday, after a dip in the Indian Ocean.

He began to struggle with physical tasks such as climbing stairs and his symptoms only worsened after he returned home.

When he started feeling tingling in his left arm, clamminess and ‘tightness’ in his chest, the presenter started thinking about Alex Salmond’s fatal heart attack and decided to seek immediate medical help.

After arriving at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Jeremy underwent a series of tests, including an electrocardiogram (ECG), blood tests and X-rays.

Although doctors initially ruled out a heart attack, a senior doctor ordered an in-depth investigation that ultimately led to Jeremy being urgently transferred to an operating room.

Jeremy was told that one artery was completely blocked, and that another artery had a buildup that was restricting blood flow through his body.

A stent had to be placed in his blocked artery to open it and reduce the risk of a heart attack.

Although this whole experience would be alarming to most people, when reflecting on the surgery in his column, Jeremy remained calm and joked that the fear for his health made him wonder “whether it is possible to make celery interesting.”

However, the business mogul admitted that “that was close” and seemed to have his mortality on his mind more than before.

He has since complained about the health measures he will have to take to ensure he is not rushed to hospital again.

Jeremy told the Sun: “Literally, I’m not allowed to have fun anymore.

“If I go to a party, I have to stand in a corner with a refreshing elderflower juice, before going home around half past nine. That’s terrifying.”
