Man accused of assaulting officers and forcibly touching a teenage girl in Hicksville

A Bayville man is facing multiple charges for a series of incidents that happened in Hicksville Friday afternoon, according to authorities.

Police say they responded to reports of an intoxicated man who was aggressive and causing a disturbance at the Broadway Mall.

Officers on scene approached 30-year-old Allan Nunez at 4:30 p.m. He began attacking them and injured an officer while resisting arrest.

According to police, the injured officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities say further investigation also revealed that Nunez inappropriately grabbed and forcibly touched a 15-year-old girl before police arrived.

The charges against him include assault, forcible touching, disorderly conduct, endangering the welfare of a child, obstruction of governmental administration, intimidation and resisting arrest.
