UN Secretary-General António Guterres is again under fire for failing to speak out against Francesca Albanese, the controversial UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, who has been convicted of anti-Semitic behavior.

Albanese travels to the US to present her latest report, ‘Genocide as Colonial Extermination’, to the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee, which oversees social, humanitarian and cultural issues.

Albanese’s report, now widely distributed to member states’ representatives, shows that “the masks are off,” said Anne Bayefsky, president of Human Rights Voices and director of the Touro University Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust .

“Albanians’ goal is the destruction of the Jewish state, period,” Bayefsky said, claiming that Albanese’s report is “a new, unhinged tirade – translated, reproduced and distributed around the world by the United Nations – completely ignorant of regional and religious history.

“(Albanians) claim that the Jewish people are settlers in Israel and have been involved in a genocidal massacre as part of ‘a century-long project.’ It would be laughable if her hate speech and incitement to violence were not so deadly.”

Danny Danon, Israel’s ambassador to the UN, told Fox News Digital Albanese “failed in her role as special rapporteur to the UN. She has no interest in the well-being of Israelis or ordinary Gazans, but has instead shown herself to be supportive of spreading hatred. Time and time again, she has managed to continue making dangerous anti-Semitic statements and openly supporting the Hamas terrorists occupying Gaza.”

He also issued a warning to American colleges, saying Albanese’s latest reports show how deep her anti-Semitism runs.

On October 17, Albanians retweeted a tirade accusing the Jewish state of “bloodlust” and calling it a “must-read for all ages.”

The article included a cartoon showing a person in a gas mask and hazmat suit with the Israeli flag and an American flag lapel pin with bloody hands giving two thumbs up. Bayefsky called the image “classic anti-Semitism.”

Fox News Digital asked Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for UN Secretary General António Guterres, if the Secretary General could denounce the situation Albanian for her anti-Semitic comments and whether Guterres believes Albanian is acting in accordance with the UN Code of Conduct.

Haq said Guterres “as a matter of principle” does not “comment on rapporteurs” and does not have the authority to fire Albanese or reduce her salary.

Asked about her anti-Semitic comments, Haq said the UN chief “strongly opposes anti-Semitism from anyone.”

Albanese’s critics say she is not adhering to the UN Code of conduct for special procedures for mandate holders of the Human Rights Councils, stating that “all human rights must be treated in a fair and equal manner,” and that mandate holders must “maintain the highest standards of … fairness, impartiality, equality, honesty and good faith.”

Pascal Sim, spokesperson for the UN Human Rights Council, was asked by Fox News Digital whether the council could censure Albanians for her behavior and anti-Semitism or remove her from her position.

Sim said that “the positions of the Human Rights Council are reflected in the decisions, resolutions and presidential statements that the 47 Member States adopt at the end of each session.” He further explained that “so far I have no information on what the council may or may not do regarding special procedures for mandate holders, beyond what was recently decided at the just concluded 57th session.”

Bayefsky said the failure to address Albanians’ behavior is infuriating.

“In yet another scandal, UN Secretary General Guterres is doing everything he can to protect Albanians instead of her victims,” Bayefsky said.

Bayefsky said that “absolutely nothing would stop him from denouncing her anti-Semitic behavior, demanding her resignation and referring the case of her blatant violation of UN codes of conduct to his own UN Legal Affairs Office for next steps. “

Bayefsky condemned the Foreign Ministry’s refusal to restrict the travel of Albanians as it “is engaged in promoting, spreading and inciting violent anti-Semitism.” The State Department would be tasked with protecting Jewish Americans from the incendiary hatred of an international visitor. .

“The United States, as host of the UN, certainly has no obligation to facilitate its travel outside the UN as part of its insidious attempt to reach American campuses. If the State Department refuses to do its job and restrict her visa accordingly, then they are aiding the spread of anti-Semitism across America.”

The Anti-Defamation League reported that Albanese’s college tour would include visits to Georgetown University, Barnard College and Princeton. She will also reportedly speak at John Jay College in New York City during her visit to the US.
