“Real Time” host Bill Maher gave the credit former President Trump about his “brilliant” McDonald’s campaign stop and called out Vice President Kamala Harris for dismissing podcast giant Joe Rogan.

During Friday’s “Overtime” online segment, Maher read an audience question asking the panel what they thought of Trump’s appearance on Rogan’s program and whether it was a “mistake” that Harris did not appear.

‘Yes, I think it’s a mistake’ Maher replied. “It’s a mistake that she didn’t do this show.”

“Did you invite her?” asked Colorado’s Democratic governor, Jared Polis.

“Naturally!” Maher responded, adding, “We would have rebooked you for her, I hate to say it.”

Polis went on to say that he hoped Harris would eventually appear on the popular “The Joe Rogan Experience” as she campaigns in Texas, insisting “the more people see Kamala Harris, the more they like her” and that “they look out must’. there.”

Trump sat down for a whopping three-hour interview with Joe Rogan, which was released online Friday evening. After it was initially reported that there were discussions between the Harris campaign and Rogan’s team to conduct an interview, a spokesperson for her campaign said she would not appear on the podcast due to “scheduling.”

The HBO host then read the next question, to which the panel asked for his response Trump’s stint as a fry cook at McDonald’s in Pennsylvania.

“I think it’s brilliant,” said CNN contributor Van Jones.

“Yes!” Maher agreed.

“I think when you have someone who is a world-famous superstar, a billionaire, etc., and he or she does something you don’t expect, it’s brilliant media,” Jones continued. “And I think we have to recognize that this man is messing with us with these so-called publicity stunts. It’s going to be in everyone’s feeds. And people who don’t watch politics are going to watch that. I think we just did that to to have more fun yourself.”

“We had a great time at the Democratic Convention. If we have more fun, if the Democratic Party is a party of fun, people will join in. We should do crazy things, too,” Jones added.

“One more thing… Don’t go straight to ‘I hate him’ for that,” Maher said. “But everyone I know here in Hollywood does that. And first of all, it makes you look weak. You look weak. You look like you’re so easy to catch. You know it seems like you’re overreacting to everything.”

The HBO host then shared his theory that he thinks politics comes from “personality.”

“Your personality comes first. I know people who are politically conservative, because I know them. That’s just who they are. They’re squares,” Maher told his liberal guests. “And there are people who just like it – they think Trump is so much fun. I don’t get it, but I don’t get Taylor Swift!”

“I bet you would have knocked me for Taylor Swift too,” Polis joked.

“Oh, New York in a minute!” Maher jokingly agreed.
